Lotto 6 aus 45 has been drawn in Austria since 7 September 1986, first on Sundays only, since September 1997 also on Wednesdays. Since 2020 there are Bonus draws on some Fridays as well, every other Friday since July 2025.

Six numbers and one bonus number (Zusatzzahl) are drawn from 45 balls. Guessing all six is a chance of 1 in 8,145,060.

How it works

• A tip is 6 numbers from 1 to 45. You win from 3 correct numbers upwards; the bonus number lifts a 3, 4 or 5 into the tier above.
• Since September 2010 there are 8 tiers, including one for the bonus number alone. Most prizes are a share of the pool, so they change with every draw.
• When nobody hits the 6, the jackpot rolls over into the next draw.
